Herbes de Provence are typically grown and cultivated in southeastern France, where they thrive in the summer sun. They have been endlessly transported across the globe and into kitchens everywhere. This includes the states, where such flavoring was introduced by such culinary luminaries as Julia Child, who captured more an authentic essence of classical French cookery.
