Cumin Powder

Size

Cumin powder is also known as “Jira powder” or “zeera powder” in the Indian subcontinent region and in Sanskrit. Cumin powder is a part of the parsley family. This powder is dull brownish in color and is bitter earthy in taste. Cumin powder is widely used in whole or ground form in many culinary dishes around the world.

Cumin powder comprises fiber, iron, magnesium, and calcium thus aiding in digestion, accelerating the immune system, and helping to cure skin acne as it has vitamin E and Vitamin C. This powder is used as a spice in vegetable soups, Basmati Rice, pickles, steamed chicken, and stews.

Cumin powder can be used with our special Red Chili flakes to flambé the varieties of Daal and to impart a tempting aromatic flavor. Nevertheless, it is used in buttermilk preparation in some territories and also use to add as a whole in salty cookies and bread worldwide.
