Nougat Araysseh With Rose Flakes

I stumbled upon these at Sahadi's in NYC, but when I went back for more, they were SOLD OUT! So I started searching online and found this shop. The shipping is a little slow, but I don't mind. The quality of the product is great - arrived fresh, clean, and intact! I will definitely be buying more products from this store.. and hope to have these at my wedding because it is such a unique, beautiful, exotic, and tasty treat! :)

Tastes like perfume.

The flavor is amazing but its impossible to chew or break through. Had to use a knife. But tastes good.

These have a true rose aroma when you bite into them since they are packed with dried rose petals. So there's not weird artificial taste or smell. And you get the first hit of the aroma, then it disappears quickly. It's not overwhelming, just very nice. The nougat itself is not overly sweet. The texture requires you to let it melt a little since it's not extra soft, so you need to be careful biting down on it and not pull on any teeth that might get loosened from the strength of the nougat. It requires you to savor it. I like that there is a very clean and pure feeling to the nougat and rose petals. If it was a little softer and a tiny bit more pistachios. I would give it 5. But it's pretty high on the list of not feeling like I overindulged bc it's a careful ratio of ingredients. I've found that some pieces were softer than others and maybe some were a little sweeter than others. Overall, I love the rose petals--it's the main thing I think about after eating it even though the nougat base was the first thing I wanted to eat. In the end, I keep wanting to re-experience biting into it and smelling the roses. These are individually wrapped so you can easily share them.
