Chipotle comes from the Nahuatl word Chilpoctil which means “smoked chili”. It is also known as “smoked Jalapeno” in some regions. Morita Chili widely used in Mexican, Indian and Pakistani cuisines. It is medium-small and burnt red in color. Morita chili also means small blackberry in the Spanish language.
These are smoked for less time to retain their fruity flavor than Chipotle Meco. These chilies have a rich smoky taste and readily add to soups, salsa, sauces, and barbecued chicken or patties. It can also be crushed in a grinder easily to use for stewing, adding as a spice over meals. Nutritionally it is riched with vitamin C, potassium, and vitamin A.
