Feverfew is a plant that is native to Europe. It can now be found in North America and Europe as well. It is a perennial plant that grows only to 2 feet in height. It has daisy-like flowers. The leaves can be picked as needed. The aerial parts are gathered during the summer months.
Feverfew powder has had a long history of use dating to ancient Greece. In fact, the first-century Greek physician Dioscorides recommended feverfew for “all hot inflammations.” The plant received its name from the Latin febrifugia, which translates to “fever reducer.”
