Licorice Chew Sticks

Size
Licorice (Glycyrrhiza Glabra) is a sweet herb.  It is a perennial herb native to southern Europe, Asia, and the Mediterranean. It is extensively cultivated in Russia, Spain, Iran, and India. It is one of the most popular and widely consumed herbs in the world. Homeopathic use of licorice for gastric irritation dates back to the first century.

Licorice has anti-bacterial properties and makes your teeth white. When chewed and sucked the sticks release a sweet sap which suppresses hunger and nicotine cravings, in addition to imparting a lasting and pleasant fragrance to the mouth. To use licorice root as a toothbrush, simply chew on one end lightly until the outer root bark comes loose. Discard the root bark and continue to chew lightly on the fibers. Pretty soon the root fibers will come loose and it will resemble a brush. Total chewing time is about one minute. It also has a sweet flavor that you may love.
