Urad Flour, also known as “Black Gram Grind Flour” or “Urid Flour”, is a black bean or gram that is mostly grown in the India-Pakistan region and has been cultivated for many decades. Urad flour is made from black gram lentils which are ground into a smooth fine powder, which is a sandy white color.
Nutritionally it is full of energy as it is protein-dense, and is full of Potassium, Calcium, Iron, and Niacin. It aids in digestion, provides strength to muscles, aids in diabetes, and helps reduce skin irritation.
The flour can be used to bake cakes, banana bread, dosas, crepes, cookies, and pancakes. In the Asian subcontinent, it is used to make Chapati or roti, papad, and vada. Our Urad flour is gluten-free, vegan, and 100% natural without any additives.
