NY Spice Shop is a small family-owned and operated specialty shop based in New York City. We are passionate about bringing authentic flavors from around the world to home kitchens, restaurants, bakers, tea lovers, and food enthusiasts.
We offer a carefully selected variety of products including spices, herbs, teas, nuts, dried fruits, seasonings, candies, and specialty ingredients from many different cultures and regions of the world.
Our spice collection includes both whole and ground spices. You can find everyday essentials as well as unique and hard-to-find ingredients. Some of our whole spices include whole chilies, whole green cardamom, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, and many more. Please note that parking in the area can sometimes be challenging, especially during busy hours. Also, Merrick Blvd has a dedicated bus lane, so please pay attention to parking and traffic signs when visiting.

We usually need 1–2 business days to process and ship your order. Once the package has been shipped, delivery time generally takes about 3–7 business days depending on your location and the shipping carrier.
If you need your order processed urgently, please feel free to call us at (718) 480-6600 with your order number, and we will do our best to prioritize your order in our processing queue.
Please also note that once an order has been shipped and handed over to the carrier, we no longer have control over the transit time. Occasionally, packages may experience delays, be routed incorrectly, or even become lost during transit.
However, we are always happy to assist our customers and will do our best to help resolve any shipping issues as quickly as possible.
Currently, we only ship within the United States. We hope to offer international shipping in the future.

At NY Spice Shop, we carry a wide variety of products under one roof — from spices and herbs to nuts, dried fruits, teas, candies, and more. Because all of these products are handled and packaged in the same facility, there is a possibility of cross-contact with common allergens. For that reason, every product we sell carries the following advisory:
"Shares equipment with peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, milk, soy, eggs, & sesame."
This means that even if a product does not contain these allergens as an ingredient, trace amounts could be present due to shared equipment.

It's simple! Once you've added your items to the cart and are ready to checkout, you'll see a field that says "Discount Code" —

Once your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with your tracking information. You can also log into your account and visit the "My Shipment" page anytime to check on your order status. If you can't find your tracking info, just contact us and we'll look it up for you
right away.
We take great care in packing every order, but we know that sometimes things happen during transit. If your package arrives damaged, please don't worry — just email us at info@nyspiceshop.com within 48 hours of receiving it, and include a photo if possible. We'll make it right for you, whether that's a replacement or a refund.
Yes! We're happy to ship to P.O. boxes. For APO/FPO military addresses, please contact us before placing your order so we can confirm the best shipping option available for your location.

Great question! To get the most out of your products, here are a few simple tips:
- Spices & herbs do best in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. An airtight container in your pantry works perfectly.
- Dried fruits & nuts should also be stored in an airtight container. For longer shelf life, you can keep them in the refrigerator or freezer.
- Teas stay freshest when kept away from moisture, strong odors, and light — a sealed tin or jar in your cupboard is ideal.
A little care goes a long way in keeping your ingredients flavorful and fresh!
Shelf life varies depending on the product. Each item on our website includes a best-by or shelf life guideline on its product page. As a general rule, whole spices last longer than ground spices, and dried fruits and nuts are best enjoyed within 6–12 months of purchase. When in doubt, proper storage makes a big difference — see our storage tips above!
