Sea salt is known as “Sumandri Namak” in the subcontinent region. It is extracted when the seawater is evaporated. It is crystal white in color and tastes like common table salt. It has more benefits as compare to the table salt as it is less processed, and no additive is added in it to prevent clumping. Nutritionally table and sea salt areas it is, but sea salt is always promoted as healthier to take. It is used in seasoning, soups, vegetables, stews, BBQ, and a variety of dishes. The patients of High blood pressure and coronary artery disease should not exceed its daily recommendation of 2300 mg per day. Salt is the flavor spice that is not any territory specific, but it is used in the whole world, to provide a salty unique taste to food.
Sea salt is also used in facial scrubbing products and people also take sea salt baths as meditation.
