Known as the Angel of Herbs, angelica is an aromatic herb originating in Europe. Wood brown with a musky scent, the root of the angelica plant often finds itself paired with poultry, seafood, and fruits.
With a warm, sweet flavor, the root can be used to impart an earthy taste to baked goods, such as cakes and cookies. In addition to cooking, the root extract can be used as a perfume.
